2025 Kaleidoscope Fashion Show

Otis College's Fashion Design students teamed up with Activision on a digital fashion show based around the 2025 theme "Kaleidoscope" with a focus on sparkling patterns, vibrant colors, and their intersection in movement. Students were tasked with designing cutting-edge, digital sportswear costumes for the game’s iconic characters using CLO 3D, a state-of-the-art digital fashion design software. This innovative project pushed the boundaries of both fashion and gaming, allowing students to create bold, modern looks that seamlessly blend style and functionality in the virtual world. The final designs were showcased in a dynamic digital runway show, bringing their creations to life in a thrilling, immersive experience. This collaboration offered students the unique opportunity to merge their passion for fashion with the ever-evolving world of gaming, preparing them for exciting, interdisciplinary careers, and exploring the limitless opportunities of the digital design frontier!

2024 Art of Duality Fashion Show

Experience the 2024 fashion show, "The Art of Duality," where bold contrasts and the fusion of artistic traditions with modern silhouettes take center stage. This event embodies the eternal struggle between good and evil, merging light and dark elements in a mesmerizing display. The show celebrates our Junior and Senior classes’ creative designs within our mentorship program, highlighting the intersection of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, as diverse artistic voices come together in cohesive, breathtaking runway pieces.Our list of distinguished Mentors includes Amiri, J. Crew, Marcus Clayton, Wear LACMA, Revolve and BLEU. Students also embarked on a creative journey with Maggie Sottero, upcycling discontinued wedding gowns into innovative modern pieces, blending the old with the new to explore eco-friendly fashion solutions. In partnership with Activision/Blizzard Entertainment, our program presents two groundbreaking collections for the gaming industry. These collections, inspired by Diablo IV and Overwatch 2—created entirely in the digital realm—exemplify the thrilling interplay between analog craftsmanship and digital innovation, marking a new era in fashion.

2023 Activision / Blizzard DIABLO Collection

Prepare to be transported into a realm where fashion meets technology in an unprecedented collaboration as Otis College of Art and Design's Fashion Design students join forces with the Digital Media Department for an extraordinary second year running. Together, they present an awe-inspiring digital fashion show that pushes the boundaries of creativity and innovation. This groundbreaking project has attracted a stellar lineup of mentors, including the visionary Hanna Jun, the creative David Lomeli, the talented Marc Mejia, and the esteemed Tim McGrath representing Activision/Blizzard. These industry experts bring their invaluable insights and expertise to guide and inspire the students as they embark on a journey into the immersive world of the Diablo video game, utilizing Marvelous Designer to produce stunning looks on avatars in 3D form. This approach allows for a harmonious marriage between fashion and technology, resulting in a collection that blurs the boundaries between reality and the digital realm. Collaborating hand in hand with the Fashion Design students, the Digital Media students have lent their talents to create custom-designed "environments" that serve as immersive backdrops for this groundbreaking project, transforming these virtual spaces into mesmerizing worlds that amplify the beauty of the fashion collections.
