Life at Otis

Otis College of Art and Design creates a supportive and inspiring space for you to become who you’re meant to be.

Life at Otis College begins on a thriving campus and expands throughout the city of Los Angeles—a global creative hub that’s home to some of the world’s most renowned artists, architects, designers, and makers. At Otis, we channel that spirit of discovery into an environment where you can be inspired and be yourself. We make sure everyone has resources to support their studies, safety, and sense of well-being.

Life in Los Angeles

Think of Los Angeles as your extended campus, with some of the world’s most famous neighborhoods, museums, galleries, and attractions—all within reach. L.A. also has great food, beaches, hiking, shopping, and some of the best internship and employment opportunities you’ll find anywhere.

Campus Safety

Otis is committed to keeping our campus safe. We encourage a collective, cooperative effort among students, faculty, and staff to secure the well-being of our community.

I want our college to be one that students experience as open, affirming, empowering, identity-conscious, and one that allows for the possibilities to run wild. I want our sense of belonging to be revolutionary and impactful, and to foster a sense of joy.”
Dr. Nicholas Negrete, Associate Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Student Support and Inclusion

As a welcoming, accessible, and diverse community, we provide resources that promote a culture of safety and inclusivity. These services and resources support mental wellness, IT needs, student employment, and much more.
