Studio Hours

The Otis Ceramics Studio is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding holidays where the entire campus is closed.

If you would like to come in when there is a technician present, see the schedule below:

• Monday: noon–8:00 p.m.
• Tuesday: noon–8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Studio Use Policy

• The Otis Ceramics Studio is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to registered full time students.  There is a studio technician available for assistance on the days posted in our schedule.  The ceramics studio is a self-guided space and as such students are expected to follow the following guidelines at all times: 
• Always clean your workspace and tools when finished working.   
• Always wipe your work surfaces and floor when finished using a wet sponge or mop where applicable.  The reduction of clay dust is of utmost importance. 
• Rinse items containing clay or glaze in the settling sink located inside the ceramics studio only.  For all other materials use the sink located in the sculpture studio. 
• Never leave work on work tables.  Store all work in progress on the storage racks or finished work on the  racks for firing. 
• Store bags of clay in the designated area. 
• Do not touch work that is not yours.  
• Worked that is left on shelves for more than three weeks may be disposed of.
