Studio Hours

The Otis Ceramics Studio is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding holidays where the entire campus is closed.

Ceramics studio

The Otis Ceramics Studio is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to registered full time students. There is a studio technician available for assistance on the days posted in our schedule. The ceramics studio is a self-guided space and as such students are expected to follow the following guidelines at all times:
Always clean your workspace and tools when finished working.
Always wipe your work surfaces and floor when finished using a wet sponge or mop where applicable. The reduction of clay dust is of utmost importance.
Rinse items containing clay or glaze in the settling sink located inside the ceramics studio only. For all other materials use the sink located in the sculpture studio.
Never leave work on work tables. Store all work in progress on the storage racks or finished work on the racks for firing.
Store bags of clay in the designated area.
Do not touch work that is not yours.
Worked that is left on shelves for more than three weeks may be disposed of.
