We are pleased to announce that the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) was awarded accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
This is an important milestone in the continuing growth and success of our student health center. Pursuing accreditation shows our commitment to providing the highest levels of quality care to our students, regarding both physical and mental health. Achieving AAAHC Accreditation is proof that the Student Health and Wellness Center has met the rigorous standards of a nationally recognized third-party organization.
Otis College of Art and Design Student Health and Wellness Center joins many other college student health centers in achieving accreditation but stands alone as the only college student health center at an Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD) school that has received accreditation.
We are proud to have met the challenge of accreditation and intend to uphold the principles of quality improvement for care. The designation covers a three-year period.
Please join me in congratulating all the SHWC staff who worked tirelessly on this achievement, especially during the current global pandemic.
Sincerely,
Julie Spencer, M.D. M.P.H
