Emily Carlson is the Creative Director at Otis College of Art and Design, where she oversees the visual brand of the College, and leads Otis Design Lab. Emily’s 20+ years of experience on creative teams have uniquely prepared her to lead Design Lab. Prior to Otis, she led the design team at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, overseeing a wide range of projects including marketing, branding, web, retail, signage, and environmental design. She also worked with legendary designer Robert Louey, designing brand identities, collateral, and signage for hotels and restaurants around the world. Over the course of her career, Emily has received numerous international awards for excellence in design. Under her leadership, Design Lab has grown from an idea to a coveted internship, and won some awards of its own.
