My favorite piece I have done at Otis. I was able to focus on making the background of this piece (my favorite part about drawing and painting) and let it be the subject rather than a place to fill in the blanks. I had so much fun coloring this piece, and I hope everyone who views it feels refreshed and soothed in some way. Some images may be cropped. Click on an image to see the full image without cropping.

This is one of my concept sketches for the 2nd largest factory located in my fictional city, Smokeshire. It is the longest factory in the city in terms of ground space/area, stretching along for far more than just a few measly miles.

Here is a glimpse into a quiet part of the Slums in Smokeshire, as you can see we are on the corner of Ruggle Row and Eidnker Alley. Everyone’s looking for a bit of peace and quiet, maybe even some solace in this scene.

There are so many options to choose from if you’re craving something sweet, buzzy, and earthy. A few of my favorite treats are a Smogdae, an Affo-cough-o float, a Muck Cup, and a Triple Decker Smalt

Here are a few of the goods sold at Vulcan Spice, my fictional spice shop, located right between Lafayette’s Sweets, and Honest Hearth’s high quality Kitchen Wares. Many of the spices sold at VS are mostly charred, smoked, spicy or all three at once and more!

These are two studies/mix concepts for the potential orphanage I had in mind for my overall story in Amalgam. All of my notes are written along the sides!

This is a more accurate study and addition to the orphanage that I picture in my head for my characters in this story. There are some notes on what I kept and also changed, there is also a study of an everrusset leaf from the many trees in Smokeshire, the leaves are toasted and crunchy. Due to the constant smog, ash, and smoke, my city isn’t very lush. All this smoke and ash just can’t be good for the plants! This city has been in perpetual fall for a long time.

I began studying different light/lamp fixtures, and turned them into houses! As you can see here the main focus is on the concept sketch I have for the largest factory in Smokeshire, The McGroggle Factory. Full of production, but questionable methods and working conditions.

Ferma’s Famous Sootglay Factory (in today’s world, it would be a drink that is similar to peated whiskey). The overall shape of this factory was inspired by a Pilson’s Beer tap located somewhere in Prague.
