October Anderson (b. 1999, Los Angeles) is an American, trans-nonbinary, interdisciplinary
artist studying Fine Arts and Education at Otis College of Art and Design in Los
Angeles, California, USA. Anderson’s performances and installations investigate language
and
its (mis)use as a site of knowledge production. Anderson has exhibited in Bolsky Gallery
(Los
Angeles), Intersect Gallery (Los Angeles), The Folk Lounge (Los Angeles), and the
El Portal
Theater (Los Angeles). They are a recipient of the Excellence in Art Award from S.T.E.A.M.,
the Distinction in Studio Award from Otis College of Art and Design, and both the
Presidential and
First Generation scholarships from Otis College of Art and Design. Anderson graduates
with
honors as the Foundation Forward Ambassador for the interdisciplinary studies department,
and
the Class Marshal of the Fine Arts department for the class of 2024.
