Grace Eassa 2024
BFA Fine Arts
Gigi Eassa (They/Them) is a Los Angeles-based creative whose mixed-media art delves
deeply into themes of queerness, nostalgia, and feminism. Three miles from USP Leavenworth,
Grace was born into an Arab and Irish-American military family that lived in Kansas
City, Boston, rural Pennsylvania, Germany, and Washington, D.C. during their childhood.
With a keen eye for blending disparate found elements, Gigi seamlessly weaves together
various mediums– from painting to sculpture to found objects– to construct nostalgia-inspired
visual experiences. Their art serves as a powerful exploration of identity, resilience,
and the complexities of the human experience.
