BFA Toy Design

goal after graduation is to work in the toy industry and gain experience and knowledge
in the toy action figure space. Although David is especially interested in action
figures, vehicles and or playsets he hopes to have the opportunity to experience different
categories of toy design including everything from preschool to plush toys.
David has developed many skills over the last few years including concept design,
character design, 3D modeling, prototyping, and sculpting. He is experienced as well
in Adobe illustrator, photoshop, aftereffects, Rhino7 and ZBrush. David worked alongside
Mattel toy designers in a sponsored action figure design class in spring 2023. In
this class he was tasked with creating a new action figure line in concert with one
of Mattel’s top toy brands. Most recently David worked alongside Spinmaster toy designers
in a sponsored vehicle design class. In this class he was given the opportunity to
create a new vehicle design in concert with one of two assigned toy brands by Spinmaster.
David is a Southern Californian and was born in Montebello and graduated from La Serna
High School in 2019. He also attended Rio Hondo College and Cal State Fullerton from
