Annual Programmatic Assessment
Annual Programmatic Assessment is the systematic collection, review and use of information about educational programs to improve student learning. Assessment focuses on what students know what they are able to do, and what values they have when they graduate. Assessment is concerned with the collective impact of a program on student learning.
Through annual educational assessments, Otis is committed to student learning and success, and continuous improvement of curricular and co-curricular programs. Each Department maintains an assessment portfolio with data that reflects how well students are learning. When necessary, changes are made.
CAP Two Main Elements
- Selective annual ILO/PLO assessment (the complete set to be assessed over a 7-year period)
- Redesigned program review (all curricular and co-curricular programs to undergo review every 8 years)
