The Fashion Design Department’s foundation is built on creativity, relevance, and
innovation. Our department prides itself on developing accomplished professional fashion
designers by cultivating strong relationships within the fashion industry. The program’s
unique signature is the opportunity to learn directly from Mentors, a title bestowed
on notable fashion industry professionals and costume designers who generously share
their expertise with students.
The 2023 Annual Exhibition showcases the talent and creativity of the Class of 2023.
With this year’s theme, Artistic License, fashion design students revealed creative ways to express their personal adaptation
of designer collections, drew inspiration from unique platforms like gaming and complex
Robots, and collaborated with new technologies while examining the essential topic
of sustainability and the environmental impacts of the apparel industry. By focusing
on responsible materials and innovation in recrafting in new ways, Fashion Design
students conceived leading-edge solutions to foster ecological integrity and consciousness.
The fashion design program is committed to preparing students for promising careers,
as innovative designer and leaders of tomorrow.
