Culture can be defined by ethnic background, beliefs, or traditions. For the cultural portrait, we want to learn more about your identity, what culture means to you, and what obstacles you may have overcome to connect with it further. For example, if you discovered that by going against the expectations of your ethnic background you realized your passion for the entertainment industry, that would fit this criteria.
Yes. As long as you complete your requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent before the program begins and are at least 18 years old.

The format of the certificate program is a combination of in-person and online instruction, 14 months in-person at Otis College of Art and Design, and six months at a selected agency partner in Los Angeles in-person as a paid apprentice.

You will learn more about each track when you start the program and will have an opportunity to make an informed decision after you begin. If you are not sure what to select on your application, you may select the option, “Undecided” and this will not impact your application review.
