Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill®
Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill® Otis College of Art and Design proudly participates in the GI Bill® Program. Eligible student beneficiaries may have up to 100% of tuition and associated student fees covered by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Please be aware that the benefit is capped annually at private institutions such as Otis. The college also participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible Yellow Ribbon recipients do receive 100% coverage of qualified tuition & fees (those who are qualified will be notified, individually, by their School Certifying Official).

Yes! All Veterans and Veteran Dependents qualify for a Veteran Fee Waiver. Please start your application online. If you apply through the Otis application, there is no fee charged. If you are applying through the Common App, select the Veterans Fee waiver under the school-specific fee waivers. Please contact Admissions at admissions@otis.edu or 310-665-6820 with any questions.
Check with the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) by visiting the VA Education and training website or call 888-442-4551. If you are eligible, you should create a VA E-Benefits account and then request your Certificate of Eligibility (CoE), which is an eligibility letter that outlines what benefits you are eligible for.

Every academic year, you will need to submit an updated Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) to the School Certifying Official (SCO) Alia Saeed at asaeed@otis.edu.
Our Office of Financial Aid is available to assist Veterans with their benefit process.
Yes! We recommend that you complete the FAFSA because until we receive your benefit documents, we won’t know if your chapter will pay for your tuition and fees. Additionally, completing the FAFSA might allow for additional funds that could help with other expenses.
