By shining a light on what already is, What Already Is shines a light on you: Where do you place value? Where do you choose to look? What do you notice? 

What Already Is seeks to make the half felt into something that can be fully sensed, digested and experienced. Through intervention and reorganization, What Already Is encourages the careful examination of how the functions of rooms, spaces, contexts, roles, and routines come together to shape our everyday lives. 

About the Artist

Eloïse Kabbaz Szabo (b. 2000) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, California. Eloïse holds a BA in Animation with a minor in Classics and Archeology from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles (2022), and is expected to receive her MFA in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art and Design in May of 2026.
