Who Are Student Leaders?
Otis College Student Leaders serve as role models, mentors, and foster an environment that supports the academic and personal development of all Otis College students. Holding a student leadership position on campus is a valuable opportunity for students to develop skills that will benefit them both personally and professionally. Student Leaders, regardless of position, gain knowledge on a deeper level about the College and have access to professional development opportunities to learn new skills for your future career.
For the 2025-2026 Academic Year, the Offices of Student Engagement and Leadership, Residence Life and Housing, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and Admissions will be selecting students to fulfill these roles to support our fellow Owls during their college experience.
Applications will go live on Monday, December 2, 2024.
Orientation Leaders assist in Orientation Week, serving as a resource for incoming students, both undergraduate and graduate, and providing programs to help onboard new students to the Otis College community.
The Student Union is made up of student leaders who are passionate about helping other students and that will work hard to help to resolve student concerns on campus. They have been leaders in developing important initiatives on campus such as the Food Pantry, Resource Exchange, and many more.
Campus Activities Board is a group of students who plan and execute student events and programs for the campus community throughout the year. They aim to build an inclusive and engaged community that fosters meaningful connections and contributes to the Otis College co-curricular experience.
TISOs are Otis College student leaders who serve as cross-cultural programmers connecting our international student population. Additionally, they serve as a resource for our international student communities.
Student Ambassadors represent Otis College by being the 'face' of our campus, providing campus tours, and presenting to prospective students and families. Ambassadors serve a critical role in the recruitment and outreach to prospective Otis College students. To learn more, contact Admissions at admissions@otis.edu.
Resident Assistant (RA)
Resident Assistants live and work in the residence halls and provide programs for their floor communities. Being a resident assistant is a unique opportunity to be a resource for new and continuing students living in the residence hall. Housing Assistants
Housing Assistants support in administrative and operational projects for the Residence Life and Housing office. Housing Assistants plan and execute the annual Housing Fair, assists with office events, and facilitates our health/safety inspections. It is a great opportunity to build your administrative and event planning skills!
To be eligible for the listed student leadership positions, you must meet the following:
- Enrolled at Otis as a full time student
- Have completed at least one semester at Otis College
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75
- Good standing with the college
Some positions may have additional eligibility requirements.
