Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Rachel Roske first learned how to paint in the mountains of Sedona, Arizona under the tutelage of “cowboy-artist” Buck McCain. She completed residencies at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, the Vermont Studio Center and the Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts. Before discovering her teaching talents, Rachel worked as an artist assistant for Kehinde Wiley and Jeff Koons. Her teaching experience prior to Otis encompassed painting, drawing, life drawing, 2-D composition and art appreciation courses both online and in person at USC Roski School of Art, Whittier College, Pasadena City College and El Camino College Compton Center. Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited at various venues nationally.
