Summer is the best season at Otis College. Make it memorable for your creative child or teen by registering for one of our upcoming pre-college or youth programs. Our Summer of Art and Summer Youth Camps encourage creative exploration, develop the principles of art and design, and boost artistic self-expression. Taught by practicing professional artists who are also skilled educators, our programs are designed for young artists of all skill levels.

Choose from a variety of programs geared toward children and adolescents interested in expanding their artistic boundaries. Otis College Extension offers summer programs that will advance your child’s abilities in art and design. Topics include painting, animation, fashion, game design, drawing, portfolio preparation for college applications, and many others. Our courses will support and encourage your child in all stages of their creative journey.

Courses run weekly from July 8 - August 1, 2025 with classes held on campus from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Summer of Art is Otis College’s premiere pre-college program. This intensive, immersive experience is designed for developing creatives in high school who are 14.5 years of age or older. Summer of Art provides your teen with a unique opportunity to develop their artistic skills, as they explore specific art and design pathways at one of the nation's top art and design colleges.

This program is ideal for experienced, young artists interested in deepening their practice, as well as students with more informal art training. Summer of Art 2024 will take place in-person at Otis College’s main campus in Los Angeles, CA. Credit and non-credit options are available. Register before April 29, 2024 to receive a 10% early bird discount.

Immersive Experience

As a Summer of Art student, you can live on campus, just moments away from your classes. Students live in our Residence Hall - offering a preview of the college experience.

Diverse Curriculum

Students earn college credit while immersing themselves in a rich mix of art courses. In the full program, they explore the foundational elements of drawing while diving deep into a specialized course in topics that range from fashion design and digital media to painting and ceramics.

Passionate students belong at Otis. This is why we offer merit- and need-based scholarship opportunities for prospective Summer of Art students who, for financial reasons, may not otherwise be able to attend.

Summer Youth Camps

Enroll in Youth Camps

Camps run weekly between June 16-August 8, 2025 with classes held on-campus from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Summer Youth Camps at Otis College invite young creatives aged 5-14 years to explore art and creative expression through exciting programs taught at one of the nation's top art and design colleges. Our weeklong day camps provide fun opportunities to discover a variety of topics such as drawing, painting, game design, 2D animation, cartooning, graphic design, and more, all in a creative, collaborative setting.

Children’s camps introduce the elements and principles of art and design while encouraging personal expression and exploration. Our camps are designed specifically for young artists and provide an in-depth exploration of art materials and techniques, while further examining creative ideas through experimentation and collaboration. Register before April 1, 2024 to receive a $50 discount on all full day camp registrations.
