Otis College of Art and Design today announced the launch of an office in Seoul, South Korea, which is home to the institution’s largest international alumni cohort. The Otis Korea office was created to provide local leadership and support for programming that serves Korea-based students and alumni in addition to their families, prospective students, and employers.
Founded by Otis alumna Yun Kyung (Cindy) Han (’17 BFA Communication Arts, Graphic Design), Otis Korea will promote lifelong engagement throughout the stages of association with the College. The initial phase will focus on connecting with current alumni in South Korea and developing strategies for engaging the broader Otis Community, including local professional partners, across Asia.

“I look forward to making Otis Korea a network for alumni and building a community that helps graduates throughout their careers,” said Han, who will lead Otis Korea initiatives. “The most exciting part about Otis Korea is the opportunity to encourage talented art and design students in Korea and other parts of Asia to apply to Otis and contribute to its selection of outstanding students. I am proud to share my Otis College education and diverse experiences with future students.”

This new international initiative is made possible through the generous support of Miky Lee, Vice Chairwoman of South Korea’s CJ Group. Ms. Lee, a member of the College’s Board of Governors, received an honorary degree from Otis College and delivered the 2023 commencement address.
