During Otis College’s 2022 commencement ceremony, President Charles Hirschhorn announced an historic gift: Honorary degree recipients Evan Spiegel, CEO and Co-Founder of Snap Inc., and Miranda Kerr, CEO and Founder of KORA Organics, through their Spiegel Family Fund, committed to helping the Class of 2022 repay their outstanding student debt. One year later, CBS News interviewed President Hirschhorn and two Otis alumni—Suhey Elias (’22 BFA Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting) and Keila Medina Villanueva (’22 BFA Product Design with a minor in Contemporary Clay)—about how the gift changed their lives.
