  • You are invited to a Movies that Matter Special Screening of the powerful new film shaping the debate about rape on college campuses, The Hunting Ground, on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:15 PM in the Otis Forum.  The Hunting Ground is a startling exposé of sexual assaults on U.S. colleges, institutional cover-ups and the brutal social toll on the victims and their families from the Academy Award-nominated filmmaking team of Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering.
  • Otis Books is pleased to publish Tim Erickson’s debut collection of poetry, Egopolis, a textual journey through destruction, resistance, city, and the Ego, from ancient times to the present day. Erickson’s work has appeared in the Chicago Review, Western Humanities Review, and the Salt Anthology of New Writing. He lives in Salt Lake City.

Alison Saar

Part of the series: Otis Legacy Project: Interviews of Distinguished Otis Alumni. Alison Saar attended Otis in 1981. She is well known as a sculptor although she works in several mediums. Her work generally deals with gender issues. Alison was interviewed by Otis students in March 2008. This is an excerpt from the longer video available in the Otis Millard Sheets Library.

Tyrus Wong

Part of the series: Otis Legacy Project: Interviews of Distinguished Otis Alumni. Tyrus Wong attended Otis in 1935. He became a famous artist working for the film industry. One of his most famous jobs was to paint the backgrounds for Bambi. He enjoys flying kites in his retirement. Tyrus was interviewed by Otis students in November 2007. Milford Zornes at Otis

Part of the series: Otis Legacy Project: Interviews of Distinguished Otis Alumni. Milford Zornes attended Otis in 1927. He became a famous California water colorist. Milford was interviewed by Otis students in November 2007. He passed away in January, 2008. This is an excerpt from the longer video available in the Otis Millard Sheets Library.
