Midtown Studio - Teaching at LACMA

Fine arts students have a unique opportunity to take painting classes with unprecedented access to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s world-class painting collection.  The Otis Mid-Town Studio at 6124 Wilshire Blvd. is within walking distance to the museum, allowing students to use the collection as a primary resource in developing their work.  The proximity of the studio to LACMA—just one block west--allows faculty and students to visit the museum on a weekly basis, when it is closed to the public, and bring information back to the studio.

Fine Arts lecture by Tomory Dodge

Tomory is a L.A. based artist whose BFA is from Rhode Island School of Design and MFA from CalArts. His work has been shown at ACME in L.A., Alison Jacques Gallery in London, CRG Gallery in N.Y., Knoxville Museum of Art, Torrance Art Museum, Monica De Cardenas Gallery in Switzerland, and Taxter and Spengemann Gallery in N.Y.  Tomory’s work is in permanent collections at LACMA, OCMA, MoCA, and The Whitney Museum of American Art in N.Y., Yale University Art Gallery, and more.
