Inspiration Here!

Mike Cedeno has played a major role in the creation and execution of a legion of animated characters you might be familiar with: Aladdin for one, The Little Mermaid’s Prince Eric for another (a character he says he was told to model after himself and Tom Cruise), and, oh, just one of the most popular princesses ever put to cel, Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

New Student Work Debuts at LAX for "100percentLA" Selfie Campaign

This summer, travelers arriving and departing from LAX will be greeted by art and design work by six Otis College seniors from three departments through a partnership with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). LAWA has debuted original art and design work created by students for an annual summer selfie campaign, "100percentLA" organized by Guest Services to enhance the guest experience. Out of This World Environments Begin with a Solid Foundation

This year's invitees to the 2018 Annual Exhibition are being welcomed by the spacey, gritty, beautiful work of 3D environmental artist Mimi Park ('17 Digital Media). It has become something of a tradition for the invitation and signage of the college's most popular event to feature the artwork of a graduate from the previous year. In 2017, alumna Momo Givens ('16 Toy Design) was featured.

The Futur: Motion Designer Handel Eugene

Being the child of an immigrant makes the creative path a difficult one. A lot of sacrifices have been made, and, often times, families don't want to accept any career path outside of the Doctor/Lawyer safe zone. Chris has walked this path himself, so that gave him an instant connection with his guest, Handel Eugene, the son of Haitian immigrants. Handel has proven his talent to his parents, though, by creating a successful career for himself, most recently working on films like Spider-Man: Homecoming and Black Panther.

Digital Media Team Wins Third at Disney Imagineering Competition

Engineering with imagination. This simple concept has propelled Disney's many theme parks and perfectly encapsulates the synthesized relationship between design and technology. Imagineering is now a full-fledged field in its own right, one that continues to grow and has need of emerging talent.
