This is a five day professional development program for K-16 teachers focused on place based education, service learning and sustainability.   • I Know What You Did This Summer is a series of bi-weekly gatherings in the Bolsky Gallery at Otis College of Art and Design organized around informal slideshow presentations by curators, artists, writers and producers in the Los Angeles area. Taking the form of a personal travelogue, presenters will share places, experiences, and encounters during summer travel near and far. I Know What You Did This Summer is an occasion to enjoy drinks and conversation among friends, colleagues and our community.

International Design Talent in Los Angeles for Design Week 2015

Los Angeles, CA - June 09, 2015 - Otis College of Art and Design’s MFA Graphic Design Program hosts its 5th annual Design Week, June 21-27, 2015. Design Week is a core component of the limited-residency MFA program, serving to introduce students to the international graphic design community and explore a range of professional opportunities in the field.

Design Week; LAVA Design

The main goal of the "Hacking the LA City Brand" was to arm students with the tools to create design with intention. With critical thinking, they created design solutions that respond to the complexity and richness of their social context. Their journey went from research, analysis and conceptual thinking to design development. Students developed three concepts into visual identities: LA-ish, Los Angeles Originals and Lost Angels.


Can a city brand truly reflect the authenticity of a complex entity as a city?
