The LA TImes story in the Business section on Dec 22 featured Otis' toy design program, citing the abundance of talented designers, many of them Otis grads, as a reason for the prominence of the toy industry in Southern California. It accounts for 9,500 jobs in Los Angeles and Orange counties; and its 276 businesses contribute more than $53 million in annual taxes, according to the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp.
