Palau report

06/13/12

Follow Otis students, faculty and alumni advisers on their trip to Palau, an island in the Western Pacific where they are designing a  Freedom Memorial/public art project to commemorate those who lost their lives serving in the U.S. military from WW II to the present. In addition to meeting civic leaders and family members of the military, students presented their proposals to many groups for feedback. They also enjoyed the wonders of the South Pacific, including Jellyfish Lake, the only body of water in the world with jellyfish who do not sting. Instructors: May Sun ('79) and Cindi Alvitre, Mentor: Jeffrey Vallance ('81 MFA)

Integrated Learning Coordinator Allison Knight tells the story on her blog in words and amazing photos.
