Karolina Kurek, Otis Product Design sophomore, won first place in the Christopher Guy BritWeek Design Award Competition. British luxury furniture designer Christopher Guy Harrison, celebrated for fusing classicism and modernism, opened a new showroom in West Hollywood last week during BritWeek 2012.
Aspiring interior and product designers from art schools far and wide entered the competition in the hopes of advancing a career in the high-end furnishing industry. They designed furniture or decorative accessories based on the creations of hat designer Philip Treacy.
