In Laguna Beach, work from Sandow Birk ('89)'s "Smog and Thunder" series has been recreated for the annual Pageant of Masters through Aug 31
In East L.A, Diane Gamboa (’84), Judithe Hernandez (’74), Kent Twitchell (’77), Patssi Valdez (’85) are included in “Round Trip” at the Vincent Price Art Museum, through Aug 19
In Santa Monica, faculty member Michele Jaquis, and alums Juna Amano (‘08), Marissa Mercado (‘08), Erika E. Reynoso (‘09), Marjan Vayghan (‘06), and Erich Wise (‘04) are included in the exhibition "Debating Through the Arts," through August 28 at 18th Street Art Center, Santa Monica.
In downtown L.A., faculty member Siri Kaur’s photographs will be featured in a one-night exhibition, "To True…, " July 15, curated by faculty member Marjan Hormozi, at the POST gallery. Faculty member Kathrin Burmester's "All Aboard" will be shown on Ju;y 19.
In another downtown L.A. gallery, CB-1, Alex Kroll (MFA, '08) curated painting.design.speculation.generosity with work by Chair Roy Dowell, faculty member Renee Petropoulos and Mathew Carter ('10). Though Aug 20.
In San Francisco, at the Minna Gallery, "That was Then, This is Now" includes work by graffiti legends Risk and faculty member Nathan Ota (’93)
