UCIRA conference Dismantled and NeighborgapBridge

At the UCIRA conference Nov 19-20 on the state of the arts, faculty members Patty Kovic and Michele Jaquis will present NeighborgapBridge an Integrated Learnng project, and faculty members S.A. Bachman and Krista Caballero and their students in Graduate Public Practice present Dismantled: Education Debates Hit the Streets of California.

This fourth annual conference, Future Tense: Alternative Arts and Economies in the University, considers the encroaching privatization of public education and the complex mix of economic, cultural and social forces that question the status of the arts within the research university, as well as the role of the university as haven for liberal arts education.
