| Setting up an Email Signature in Entourage (for MAC users, PC users go here) |
Before you actually begin your signature; there are a couple of settings that need to be changed in the account settings to facilitate proper usage of email signatures...
Step 1: Open Entourage and then click on the Entourage menu and choose Preferences. |

Step 2: Make the following Preferences changes.
- On the left side under Mail & News Preferences, click on Reply and Forward.
- On the right side, under Reply & Forward, make sure there is a check mark on "Include entire message in reply".
- Under same heading, make sure there is not a check mark next to "Reply to messages in the format in which they were sent".
- Moving down to the Mail Attribution section, move the Bullet to "Place reply at top of message and include..."
- Click OK to finalize the Preferences changes.

Step 3:
- Click on the Entourage menu again and this time choose "Account Settings".

Step 4:
- In the Accounts window, click on the Otis account (actual name could vary) to highlight it.
- Click on the Edit button.

Step 5: Make the following Account Settings changes.
- In the Edit Account window, click on the Options button.
- Change the "Default Signature" to "New Emails".
- Click OK to finalize Account Settings changes.

| With that out of the way, let's create the Email Signatures |
- Start here to create a Primary signature for "New Emails" and a secondary for Replies and Forwards.
- Or jump ahead to create a Secondary signature for "Replies and Forwards" if you've previously completed your signature for New Emails.

| Step 1: Control-click or Right-Click on the image (Otis Logo) below and choose "Copy Image " from the resulting menu. |

| Step 2: Open Entourage, Click on the Tools menu, Choose Signatures in the list. |
 |
 |

| Step 2: Click on New. |
 |
 |
|
 |
Step 3:
- Enter "New Emails" as the name.
- Click into the text area and backspace out the existing hyphen.
- Change font to Arial, size 9 or 10.

Step 4:
- Enter your personal information exactly how it appears on your business card.
- Skip a line.
|

 |
Step 5:
- Paste the OTIS logo from the clipboard using the Edit drop-down menu or the Command-V keyboard command.

Step 5: After the logo has been inserted:
1. Change the font size to 11, hit the spacebar once, then type in...
2. Otis College of Art and Design (paying attention to only upper case the key words). Hit the return key, change the font size back to 10, and then key in our address as shown.
3. Skip a line and then add any optional custom message or the College mission statement if desired. If you do not wish to add anything more, you will need to hit the spacebar or the return key to turn the website address into a hyperlink (automatically).
Note: Please use discretion if you opt for a custom message, if you would like to add the College mission statement, the text can be copied at the bottom of this page and pasted into Word to assure accuracy.

| Secondary Email Signature |

Note: Entourage not not support automatic insertion of a signature to replies and forwarded emails. However, Entourage does make it extremely easy to add one on the fly as you will see below.
If you wish to use a signature for replies and forwards, it is recommended that you create a "secondary" signature. This is particularly useful when an email will get forwarded several times; your "reply signature" should be a brief truncated version of your primary signature, which will prevent the appending of lengthy signatures being added to an email with each forward or reply, which eventually makes it very difficult to read.
