Cultural StudiesSSCI130*This class explores what happens when diverse cultures interact across groups of gender, language, ethnicities, sexual orientation, and so on, and how culture is perceived and transmitted. Students write field observations, evaluate media, and participate in individual and group presentations. Lectures, simulations, and assignments are designed to increase the students’ observational and analytical skills and decrease intercultural and racial misunderstandings.

Fine Arts presents Hannah Whitaker, a photographer who received her BA from Yale University and MFA from Bard College. She has been featured in numerous shows at Galerie Christophe Gaillard in Paris, Thierry Goldberg Gallery in New York City, Y Gallery in Queens, and Kumukumu Gallery in New York City.
