Credit students receive a letter grade (A-F), and a permanent record (transcript) is kept on file in the Office of Registration and Records. Official transcript fee is $5 per transcript. Credit students are required to complete additional course work in order to successfully complete a course.
In accordance with WASC and NASAD accreditation standards, courses meeting for 30-36 hours receive 1.0 unit of course credit.
As an accredited institution, credits are offered in semester units; most studio courses are one undergraduate unit. In the Continuing Education Division, one semester hour of studio credit represents a minimum of three hours of work each week, on the average, for a semester of 10-12 weeks. Summer session may vary in course hours and duration of classes.
