SEM: 39

The Mid-Wilshire Painting Workshop

An intermediate/advanced workshop where students establish a direction for their own personal artistic direction and style while exploring the collections housed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Students deepen their own understanding of ideas, concepts, and techniques by directly viewing, experiencing, and discussing artworks in the museum's permanent collections and rotating exhibitions. Field trips to the museum occur on a regular basis as the class explores artworks from the Renaissance through the present.

Prerequisite: XPTG1128 Introduction to Painting or equivalent experience
