Painting with Watercolors and Acrylics: Ages 9-12
Students use photographs, still life, and their imaginations, while exploring techniques of painting with watercolors and acrylics. Experiment with a variety of application techniques while using basic concepts such as composition and color. From thick impasto globs to thin washes of color students discover the many ways to make a painting.
First class materials: $35 lab fee payable to the instructor for supplies.
• All students attending courses on the Goldsmith Campus must check in with Continuing Education staff in the lobby of the Ahmanson Building
• All Young Artist Workshop (YAW) students are required to submit a completed YAW Emergency Information Form prior to admittance into the classroom. (Students will not be permitted to attend without this.)
• For students attending both morning and afternoon classes, a mandatory fee of $50 is required for supervision during the lunch break (meals not included). The fee is paid upon check-in on the first day of each 2-week session.
