Continuing Education Course

Right Brain Drawing Teacher Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, teachers learn how perceptual skills in drawing facilitate access to right brain thinking processes associated with creativity. Perceptual drawing skills involve the ability to see objects in terms of edge, negative space, relationships, light/shadow, and the Gestalt. In the act of “seeing/drawing,” specific brain processes are brought to light. Through basic, step-by-step drawing techniques, teachers are introduced to practical drawing methods that highlight and enhance student creative thought in a nurturing and supportive environment. Lesson plans are provided across all grade levels.
