Visual Sketching Techniques

    Visual Sketching Techniques

This project-based studio course focuses on the development of hand drawing capabilities as a core skill. Sketching is a primary means to communicate concepts at the ideation phase. Students develop composition and line weight skills that convey their ideas clearly and dramatically. In class exercises in sketching emphasize form, perspective, scale, composition, surface texture, reflectivity, and function. Varied analog media and tools are integrated into a personal vision and style that clearly communicates the designers’ intent.
