How do we remember? Why do we remember? Can the act of drawing make our memories stronger or grow faint? This course takes a fresh approach to the process of drawing, incorporating current findings in neuroscience with drawing tools and techniques, to further explore and expand the possibilities of one’s own artistic expression. Through weekly reading and observational drawing projects students investigate the nuances of memory, invent new ways of seeing, experiment with materials, and gain a deeper awareness of their individual artistic experience. Prerequisite: None First class materials: TBD
