Life After Otis

We went to Otis

Since its establishment in 1918 as Los Angeles’ first independent professional school of art and design, Otis has trained generations of artists and designers who have been in the vanguard of the cultural and entrepreneurial life of the region. Two out of three Otis students get jobs before or within three months of graduation, and nine out of ten are employed within a year of graduation. Nurtured by Los Angeles’ forward-thinking spirit, the College has produced alumni In countless industries around the world. Otis graduates pursue unprecedented opportunities. They leap across vocational borders: fine artists become special effects wizards, interior designers become web site designers, and fashion designers become toy and product designers. With their creativity, their skills, and their vision, they tell the story best.
